Many of you may have already had the pleasure of meeting Gosh. Strange as it may seem, even though you may have seen her over and over, there is still many facets of Gosh we have yet to discover. So, if you have seen, met, and even know her, or are just beginning on your journey with her, read this over and see Gosh’s “true self” revealed.

Provincetown, Massachusetts is the first place that Gosh Alice Jones made an appearance. Much like our founding fathers and mothers, she was fresh, new, and completely different then the established culture of her time.

One day she discovered a message on her pillow. Her fairy godmother wanted Ms. Jones to be the ‘queen of everything.’ Contrary to popular belief, she had to go through a refining fire to become the drag queen and diva she is today. The first night she went out without her signature glasses or her real name. That fateful night, as the undercover “Pokeahotass,” she quickly realized that she would have to change in order to successfully reach her target audience. She woke up the next beautiful morning and her purpose, in the form of a tea bag, hit her straight between her eyes. She was still a little high on life from the night before and not yet focused on a clear sense of purpose. As she rubbed her eyes and her vision cleared, she knew she had to get out of bed to entertain and enlighten the world.

The 'Message'

In order to see how much people loved her special kind of craziness, she brought the glasses back to the stage. Inspiration for her style came from the girl groups of the 50’s and 60’s. As time went by, she waddled into her classic period where she ate more food than any girl should. After she moved out on her own, she slimmed down and became the slender and delicate goddess that we now know.

Momma Gosh & Daughter Carrie
In 1994, Gosh decided to have a very busy year. Ms. Jones got pregnant with Carrie Mehome Jones, went into rehab, wrote her first novel, joined the army, climbed Mount Everest, started the internet, and cured herself of several major disorders.

From 1995 to 1996, she performed in cabaret shows in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Out on Cape Cod she earned the nickname of “Lips.” Finally, in 1997, she moved back to the center of the universe (also known as Rochester, Minnesota). It was there, in the basement of a church, she met the incomparable Celeste Deville.

As part of the local Gay and Lesbian Community Services organization, small shows were held at the Unitarian Universalist church. Gosh tiptoed along as Celeste ‘dragged’ her to be a part of the bigger shows that are now put on in town by The Rochester Girls, Inc.

The current Rochester Girls, Inc. show director, Ms. Sidonia Dudval, hopped in the saddle along with Ms. Jones to show that you too can save a horse by riding a drag queen.

As time went by, Ms. Gosh Alice Jones developed more confidence and a whole entourage of friends to help her change the world one person at a time. In 2002, she became Ms. Gay Southeast Minnesota. Not long after her first title, she became the Duchess of the Big Red Lips to Reign 12 of the Imperial Court of Minnesota. In 2004, with help of her favorite entourage boy and backstage dresser Patrick, she won the title of Ms. Gay Twin Cities Pride.

Entertaining crowds on the microphone as emcee has earned Ms. Jones the title of “The Biggest Mouth on the Mic” and “The Mouth of the South.” She has wowed audiences throughout Southeast Minnesota, the Twin Cities, and Wisconsin. Keep on the lookout for her in a town near you.

In 2005, at Ms. Jayda Cline’s request, Gosh began performing at the Ultra Lounge in Rochester Minnesota. Ms. Jones invites everyone to visit her and her friends at the Ultra Lounge, at a Rochester Girls Show, at many of the Gay and Lesbian Community Services events, at out of town shows, and at Gay Pride festivals throughout the state. Above all, Ms. Jones encourages each of you to seek out a charity and join in making their efforts a success.

Gosh is personally involved with the local Gay and Lesbian Community Services organization as a board member and host of their weekly meetings. This year marks the second year Ms. Jones will serve that group as the Rochester Pridefest co-chair. She puts her considerable weight behind her favorite charity, the Professional

Gosh & Jayda at TC Pride 2006
AIDS Network (PAN). Each year she helps PAN raise much needed funds at their annual charity walk.

Gosh would like to thank you for taking time to visit her website and looks forward to seeing you!
